“The mood of the show is set from the person who is number one on the call sheet… in our case it’s Amy Poehler and that’s why our set is the happiest place on earth. That’s not a joke, it really is. It’s a ridiculously fun job to make a tv show that you like and we have a great time doing it but it’s also… you work twelve, fourteen sometimes sixteen hours the day and it can get kinda exhausting. But we get into a direction episode where in the end of a very very long day on location we got into the van to take us back to our cars and it was like 1 in the morning and Amy just gets in the front seat and she turns the radio on and she finds an awesome song and she turns it up really loud and she starts dancing and getting everyone in it… and it’s like that from the moment shows up from the moment she goes home. It’s awesome, it’s a huge reason why our job is so fun.
So thank you, Amy Poehler” - Mike Schur
